Murray Wood, Partner

What do you get when you combine the experience of a financial planner with a professional builder? Someone who is uniquely qualified to find, manage and execute real estate investment opportunities - and that someone is Murray Wood.

Murray's experience as a qualified financial planner began in 1984 and included six years of practice, receiving his initial training with Investors Group. He also provided the general public with financial planning advice through his bi-monthly columns in the Vancouver Courier and in seminars.

Throughout the late 80's and early 90's, Murray became more active as a real estate developer through the purchase of several million dollars worth of residential real estate using Joint Ventures, resulting in numerous successful "purchase, renovate and sell" projects.

Murray's career as a professional builder began during high school and university summers building lake cottages and doing renovations. This led to wide ranging experience as a builder, culminating in the 1994 creation of Gleneagles Renovations Inc. With partner Craig Smith, Gleneagles Renovations Inc. participated in millions of dollars worth of renovation, repair and new construction.

This experience convinced Murray that there is far more profit in owning the building then fixing it.

In 2000, Murray combined his unique professional experience as a builder, financial planner and real estate investment and created Silverado Investments Inc. Based on straight talk and well thought-out hard work, Silverado was built to find and package high quality, safe, well-managed investments so that investors don't have to worry, are kept up-to-date, and make a profit. Craig Smith, Partner

Craig Smith is the project manager for Silverado Enterprises Inc.

Craig Smith is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. This education helped him to develop his research skills, which have been honed in the residential investment business assisting clients in achieving their investment goals. Extensive travel has also developed his abilities to deal with people from all walks of life.

Craig has been involved with residential construction business for more than twenty years and is well versed in design, estimating and general construction techniques. He is a first-class carpenter, a capable project manager, and has the innate ability to elicit the highest from the sub-trades. He has built projects in Ottawa, Vancouver as well as in Asia and Europe. Craig has lived in Vancouver since 1987, with eight of those years spent as Project Manager for Gleneagles Renovations Inc. His ability to accurately assess a project's viability and bring it successfully and profitably to completion has served the company well.

Craig moved to Fernie over the Christmas of 2006 to better manage Company projects in Fernie and the East Kootenays.

Jonathan Reilly, Corporate & Securities Lawyer, Associate
